Negociação se arrastou por meses
Anteriormente, Fluminense e atleta tinham um acordo encaminhado. A Central Fluminense publicou que o novo vínculo teria validade de cinco temporadas. Durante a Premiação do Cariocão 2025, o jogador falou com exclusividade à Central sobre a negociação.
“Eu e meus empresários estamos negociando com a diretoria do Fluminense. Não posso falar muito agora, mas já já a torcida tricolor vai saber da notícia.” – declarou Riquelme.
Apesar de haver esse acordo preliminar, a assinatura não ocorreu. Divergências entre as partes motivaram o atraso.
Riquelme na mira da Europa
Conhecido por sempre ter jogadores brasileiros em seu elenco, o Barcelona costuma também olhar para o mercado sul-americano na hora de reforçar seu elenco. Assim, Riquelme Felipe chamou a atenção dos seus olheiros na América do Sul e a cúpula do clube catalão monitora a situação. Imbróglio no contrato
O Fluminense anunciou o primeiro contrato profissional de Riquelme Felipe em 20 de abril de 2023. O vínculo tem validade de 5 anos (março de 2028) e o jogador possui uma multa rescisória de 50 milhões de euros para clubes do exterior. A sua multa para clubes nacionais, conforme prevê a Lei Pelé, é de 40 milhões de reais.
No entanto, a FIFA exige que jogadores com menos de 18 anos assinem vínculos com duração máxima de 3 anos. A CBF, por outro lado, permite contratos de até 5 temporadas. Naquela altura, o jogador tinha somente 16 anos. Portanto, isso pode gerar uma interpretação de que seu vínculo, na verdade, só teria validade até abril de 2026. Com isso, o atacante poderia deixar o Tricolor sem custos no começo da próxima temporada. O Fluminense, por sua vez, entende que seu vínculo assinado em 2023 é válido, visto que a CBF deu a autorização.

O principal nome da aclamada Esquadrilha 07 nasceu em Araçatuba-SP e chegou ao Fluminense aos 10 anos. Desde então, é um destaque de Xerém e visto como uma das principais promessas da história tricolor. Para ilustrar o seu potencial, vale lembrar que o jovem apareceu, em 2024, na lista “Next Generation”, do jornal inglês The Guardian, que elenca as principais promessas do futebol mundial. Ele comandou a equipe sub-17 tricolor em 2024 rumo ao título inédito da Copa do Brasil, além do bicampeonato do Brasileirão da categoria.
Riquelme Felipe subiu ao profissional em 2025. Foi titular com Marcão nos primeiros jogos e recebeu sua primeira chance no XI inicial com Mano Menezes contra o Vasco. Sua parceria com Jhon Arias agradou e o Tricolor conseguiu a vitória por 2×1.
Após o começo de destaque, o jogador oscilou e acabou perdendo espaço. Posteriormente, sofreu uma lesão no joelho que o deixou de fora dos gramados por dois meses. Ao retornar, não recebeu muitas chances sob o comando de Renato Gaúcho e chegou a reforçar o sub-20 na reta final do Brasileirão.
